On Assault Video: NANS hopeful president, Asefon commends Varsity mgt. For quick Intervention

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS hopeful president, Comrade Asefon Sunday has commended the management of the Federal University Of Technology, Akure for taken a quick measure of punishment on the gang students involved in bullying of a 100 level female student in one of the off campus hotels on Saturday, November, 16th and also for the urgent medical and counseling support for the affected student.

Recall a shocking video of four girls and a boy seen surrounding the 100 level student, whose name has been given as Bolu, a 100 Level Ecotourism and Wildlife Management student of the Federal University of Technology, Akure.

"They seem to have cornered her in a room, with the only means of escape blocked by one of the students."

In the statement issued to newsmen by the media aide, Comrade Tunde Bright Olorungbotemi One Class to the NANS leading presidential aspirant, Com. Asefon sunday.

Asefon said, it was "disheartening, highly embarrassing” and disgraceful show of physical and muscular muscle at the varsity that knowledgeable and lenient students were the ones torturing their mate off campus because of an issue with one of those that assaulted her. 

Finally, i charge the management not to take the issue with a levity hands but a thorough sanctions and brought the culprits to face the law, he said.
