His Excellency, Prince Eze Madumere, the outstanding former deputy Governor of Imo State and the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Imo State has showered encomiums on Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe describing him as a great Pan African leader whose life is worthy of emulation. He also called on Nigerians to reinvigorate their hope and faith in the Nigerian project.
Prince Eze Madumere made this call in a press release made available to Journalists in Abuja while eulogising the late Owelle of Onitsha, Dr. Benjamin Nnamdi Azikiwe describing him as the father of modern Nigeria.
Prince Eze Madumere commended the Anambra State Government for declaring a holiday in honour of the late Pan Africanist and expressed confidence that the Federal government will follow suit.
Prince Eze Madumere called on Nigerian leaders to emulate the life of the great ZIK of Africa who gave his all towards the emancipation of Nigeria from the enclave of the British by prioritising policies that will have direct positive impact on the citizens.
He described Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe as a leader who believed in and emphasised the importance of National Unity among all Nigerians. He further decried the attitude of some Elder Statesmen who makes unguarded statement that are capable of diving Nigerians along religious and tribal lines and advised them to follow the footstep of the late ZIK who at all times held on to the one Nigeria ideology.
Prince Eze Madumere stated that Nigeria has the potential to be great and called on Nigerians never to loose faith in the Nigerian project but to embrace and focus on things that unite us as a Nation.
He expressed optimism that with the recent policies and program of the Federal Government tailored to take Nigerians out of poverty, that Nigeria will become the delight some land where its citizens will be proud of it.
