NANS confers award of excellence on Osun Monarch, Police Officer, Past Zone D Coordinators (Photos)

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest (Zone D) has conferred award of excellence on Orangun  of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, CSP Olayinka Sikiru, Police State Command Osogbo and all former Zone D Coordinators in recognition of their huge contributions in NANS Zone D, Voice Air Media reports.

The awards were presented at the 2019 public lecture and award ceremony organized by the NANS Zone D under the leadership of Com. Adekitan Lukman held at SOB Babalola Hall in Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State on Saturday.


According to the speech delivered by  Com. Adekitan Lukman, the NANS Zone D Coordinator, said that, " Today we are making another history in life of this great association. For the first time in our history, we have brought all the former Zone D coordinators under one roof to appreciate their past contributions in making the association what it is today. We have also brought the Orangun of Oke  Ila, CSP Olayinka Sikiru, past student leaders who have sacrificed all they have for the emancipation of Nigerian students in South west.



Com. Demola  Yaya, who emerged as the first Zone D coordinator, Com. Goke Olajide, Com. Sina  Adeyemi, Com. Ola Jericho Saint, Com. Saheed Raji, Com. Femi Kolawole, Com. Jolapomo Bolanle, Com. Okiki Ogunsola and many others who were conferred with the prestigious awards were described by the NANS Zone D coordinator as an embodiment of humility, hard work and selfless service of emulation. 


In his acceptance speech, Com. Demola  Yaya while thanking the leadership of NANS Zone D for finding him worthy of recognition gave kudos to the Coordinator for his efforts towards the emancipation of Nigerian students.



He said the award will serve as a catalyst for him to put in more hard work, innovative ideas and total commitment to NANS.


He applauded the leadership of the NANS Zone D for organizing the public lecture and award ceremony which he said was apt and timely.


Dignitaries at the event are; ASUU OAU chairman, police officers, educationists across Nigeria, past and present student leaders and many others.
