St Akinduro Temidayo Sunday Apk Federation, engaged in discussion with the House of Representative member from Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency, Honorable Tajudeen Adefisoye aka Small Alhaji, on Sunday, 27th October, 2019, VAM News reports.

Good evening chief admin, comrades, members, erudite ladies and gentleman, it’s a privilege to be on this platform tonight to represent my boss in person of Rep. Tajudeen Adeyemi Adefisoye representing idanre/ifedore Federal Constituency, Dep. Chairman HoR Army at the 9th Assembly.

My name is Adefisoye Moshood Abiola, Chief of Staff to the Rep.

Unfortunately, the Rep isn’t available because of national duties as we all know it’s the time of the year that national duties(budget defence) comes into play as the 9th Assembly looks towards having a budget circle that runs from January to December.

•What are your plans for the entire students in your constituency, both higher institution and secondary level???

The youths are the future of any society, The Honourable has launched a robust scholarship program for youths , he has had several engagements with the executives on how to empower youths through agriculture with the Anchor Borrowers Program and we all know that the first step is engagement, interactions.

Aside for the aforementioned, the Honourable has met with the honourable minister for youths and sports to see how youths from the constituency who are athletes can benefit from the ministry.

•You recently announce that there will be grant of #20,000 for 100 people quarterly for the next four years. How do you select the beneficiary?

The Honourable has set a precedent with these and I can assure you that a lot of market women will benefit from the program, it’s robust in its sense that it allows all participants to register through their ward , local government, after registration, there is a screening exercise to ascertain how you want to invest the funds.

The funds are grant and not loans

It’s open to everybody and not limited to market women, The screening committee are professionals in that every applicants has a unique registration number. It’s worthy to note that we know that there are people who wants to be smart but the screening committee members are smarter.

•You have spurred the youths based on the doggedness you shown during the election , how has been the experience in the green chamber so far?

In Honourable words which I hear him say all the time "E no easy"... I am very sure the meaning of that is simply, if you really want to do something for your people, you need to interact, engage, embrace and lead when it’s time to lead. But it’s been interesting so far

•You once proposed VATA POLYTECHNIC ; Are you still having the bid to bring to fruition ?

Aside from Vata Polytechnic which is one of the Honourable dreams, he has engage with neighbouring schools to see how they can open satellite campuses , study centres in Constituency.

•Hon. What is ur progressive plan as regards Social Development (Empowerment agenda) for the people of Idanre in the next four years?

•Considering how unpopular the recent flooding that ravage the Idanre community is in the last few weeks, how did you intend to bring the Enviable federal presence to our constituency either through collaboration it lobbying especially in the area of Agriculture and structural infrastructure?

Like I mentioned earlier , the Honourable in the past months has engaged, interact with the executive on best ways to empower the constituent.

It is worthy to note that the Anchor Borrowers Program(google it) is a federal government initiative that the Honourable has keyed into to collaborate with the farmers in the constituent.

As regards Structural Infrastructure, the primary aim of the honourable is legislating. He however can push by engaging the executive for infrastructural development in the constituent.

He all know and remember that he promised to build a mini stadium in idanre, That promise will be kept.

•The unruly and indiscriminate abuse of power by Nigeria Security is of the highest order. Taking the lead is SARs/SAC who are found of molesting/arresting, exploiting and embarrassing the populace especially the youth. This has called for different campaign to stop or scrap some of their activities. For instance #EndSARs# campaign. How has honourable see this and what is his role and the role of the green chamber to protect us from the barbaric act of this security agencies especially SARs?

The Honourable since resuming its legislating duties has taken it upon himself to see that the police reform act bill is signed .. In the Act, it allows for disbandment, training and lots more.

For years now.. there hasn’t been a major improvement knowing fully well that we contribute a lot to the IGR of the State ... We should be better than where we are.

•How do you come about your Nickname "Small Alhaji" and what is your advice for the fresh graduate in your constituency?

Small Alhaji ... Well the Honourable was a very young man when he traveled to Mecca for Pilgrimage.. He was too young and small that they started calling him Small Alhaji from Mecca.

Advice to the youths and Young Graduates of the Constituency is to be resilient , disciplined , self determination is key and you must do something before someone or anybody is ready to lift you ... Be your own self, develop yourself and the sky will only be the starting point.

•Sir, the Anchors Borrowers program is a CBN initiative, and the CBN is doing alot to make people across board benefit from this, how does he want to link this to his own social development agenda?

The Anchor Borrowers Program is a CBN initiative and he got to know about this through engagements and interactions and as such it is different from the honourable social development agenda.. Some of the Reps agenda are the Small Alhaji Community Grant , Keep the Tap Running , Small Alhaji Scholarships , Small Alhaji Sponsors , Small Alhaji Accessibility and many more.

There are more federal government initiative beneficiary to the people of the constituents but the Honourable has to keep engaging to see how beneficial they are.
