Students' Union Suspends Planned Protest in FPE, gives reason
Siwes
The Federal Polytechnic Ede Students' Union has suspended its early proposed protest for the Student Union President, Rufai Lukman SIWES, in a swift reaction to an alleged mistreatment by the Academic Staff Union of the Polytechnic (ASUP), Ede Chapter.
The Student Union made this disclosure in an interview with the PRESS Tonight.
Recall that the body with thousands of Students had today threatened to stage a protest tomorrow at the SOB hall where the Panel will give Judgement.
The Student Union commended Students for the undeserved Support received during the trial, however cited an alleged plan by some element to hijack the protest to distrupt the peace on campus as the reason for “standing-down” the protest.

The Union said the “battle is won already” while admonising Students to be of good conduct tomorrow, shun protest and continue with their academic activities with no fear. Reporter Gsong
