GOV. Sanwo-Olu appreciates Ikeja 2 charity CDS Corp members for Educational Donation
Lagos State Governor Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the 20th of September, 2019 made a suprise appearance at Oregun High School, Ikeja where he met students and staffs of the school who recieved him admist cheers, VAM reports.
Fortunately, the corp members of charity community development service who were also in the school premises to carry out their group project which included the donation of two new premium looking flags both that of Nigeria and Lagos respectively having previously observed that the school's flags had faded, worn out and looking a bit torn, in addition they provided some learning materials which would be of tremendous assistance to the teachers and students of the school.
In a statement available to Newsmen that the corp members were led by their Local Government Inspector Mrs Modupe Esan and the CDS President, Desmond Orisewezie.
VAM confirmed that the new flags were then set up before an assembly of students and surprisingly the Governor of Lagos State after inspecting the school premises decided to meet with the corp members and he was visibly glad with what he saw and thus commended the LGI, the CDS Executive leadership and the entire CDS members for a job well done.
The CDS President, Desmond Orisewezie while addressing the state governor commended him for his good works which are visible across the state and stated that the corp members intention was to ensure that national & state flag which is a critical official enblem is continually dignified in their appearance and that they were there to contribute their own quota to the society as a give back.
The Principal of the school was full of gratitude to the LGI Mrs Esan and the entire corp members for the impressive initiative and prayed for them. In her own reaction Mrs Esan stated that the initiative by God's grace would be a continuous one and also thanked the school for allowing the corp members execute their project.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu praised the corp members for their contribution to societal development, took pictures with the corp members and thereafter left the school premises.
