Chioma emerges winner as Mass Communication Department UNIZIK organizes Writers Challenge

The 2019 Writers' Challenge organized by the Secretary general of Association of Mass Communication Students on Tuesday saw Miss Nnanna Chioma Esther smiling home with the winning prize.

The competition which was held at the department's Auditorium was conducted free and fair under the auspices of the impartial Chief Judge, Mr Henry Duru.

Speaking shortly after being declared the winner, miss nnanna Chioma expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the competition.

" I am very happy that I won because I have worked hard towards this. I was here last year and I saw how the winner used illustration to capture the heart of the audience, so I did the same. I am very satisfied with the outcome of the event" She said.

Meanwhile, the event was anchored by the President of Asomacs who was also the former Secretary general, Comr Emmanuel Okonkwo. The winner was awarded a certificate, 20k cash prize and a notebook to continue writing.

However, the event which was well attended also witnessed Alioke Emmanuel popularly known as Mr Humble emerging as the first runner up and Miss Ogaganyefe Gloria emerging as the second runner up. They were awarded cash prizes, notebooks and certificate respectively.

The event ended by 4pm with light refreshment and dance hall music.
