Workers at Chief Ihedioha's newly acquired N730m apartment at maitama arrested
By Mustapha Abba
Officials of Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Abuja today arrested workers who were on duty at the newly acquired building at Maitama.
The FCDA officials noted that renovation permit wasn't obtained by the Engineer before the commencement of work.
The Engineer while responding to questions at the FCDA office affirmed that the said building was bought on the 15th of August,2019 at the cost of N730million from a company called Jamil Estates & surveyors by Ihedioha Associates Ltd and that his Principal; Chief Ihedioha gave him 25 days from the 20th day of August 2019 to complete renovation work on the said building to enable him start renovation work in another newly bought building in Garki, Abuja.
One will wonder why Imo state's money within 3months is used for personal developments and acquisition of properties instead of using it to maintain Imo projects, build more infrastructure in the state or better still empower the youths and women.
Engineer Okoro noted that he will call on his principal to do the needful at FCDA but pleaded that his workers be released to enable him meet up with the time frame for job completion.
