REMODELING_NATIONAL_YOUTH_SERVICE_CORPS(NYSC) FOR_NATIONAL_DEVELOPMENT
National Youth Service Corps was established for the purpose of Youths to be involve in Nation building and development of Nigeria in the year 1973. But the way we are going about it and the present day Nigeria, calls for remodeling of the program for effective Nation building and development.

Instead of mandating the Corp members to do a 12months/year services and pay them #19,800 per month, and at the end of the service they will be pushed into labour market without any hope of getting employment/job.
Rather, let the Corp members be trained for a period of 3-4months on entrepreneurship/skill acquisition chose by them. At the end of the training, a start-up capital between #700,000 - #1,500,000 should be made available to each of the Corp members, to kick start the skill/business they learned.
If this idea is implemented, Nigerians will be more glad to go school, knowing fully well that there is employment for them, and this will also help our economy to grow.
So, I call upon Federal Government, National Assembly and National Youth Council of Nigeria(NYCN) to see that National Youth Service Corps is remodelled for the betterment of Nigerian Youths and Nigeria at large.
