Congratulatory Message to our own Comr. Seun Fakorede, Nigeria's Youngest Commissioner Nominee
Makinde, Seun FakoredeOn behalf of the National Patron of Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN); Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and the entire leadership of YAN, I wish to congratulate our YAN Oyo state director of works, Comr. Seun Fakorede; the 27 years old Civil Engineering graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife on his nomination to serve as commissioner. His appointment did not come as a shock to us from the youth loving Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde, who is currently setting the pace for other political leaders in the country to follow by providing enabling opportunities for youth inclusiveness in governance.
As a family, YAN felicitate with the young youth activist turned commissioner, urging other State governors and head of government agencies to emulate Governor Seyi Makinde by carrying youths in their constituency along for proper grooming and transition of power to the younger generation for sustainable leadership.
Currently in Oyo State; we have a House of Assembly member at age twenty five, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly also at thirty-two and now a commissioner for youth and sports at age twenty seven.
While extending my deepest appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde, I also urged our associate YAN ambassador in Oyo state now young commissioner nominee to deliver his duties with all diligence; stating that over 70 million Nigerian youths are relying on him not to let them down and to prove to the elites in power that the youths have what it takes to get the country fixed.
