AFCON 2019: Super Eagles beat Tunisia, win bronze
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have won the Bronze medal of the 2019 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt after beating Tunisia 1-0 in the third place match on Wednesday night.
Odion IghaloThe Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo put the Nigerian side ahead earlier in the third minute and the Super Eagles held on till the end to earn an eighth Bronze medal in the competition.
The Super Eagles won each of their 7 third place games in AFCON, each in the regular time, keeping a clean sheet in 5 of these 7 encounters.
Super Eagles will also be the team with the most third place games played in AFCON.
