YAPJEN fulfills promise: presents cash prizes to awardees of scholarship
A Human Right group YAPJEN ( Youth Advocacy for Peace, Justice and Empowerment Network), fulfilled their promise on Friday 7th June obtained by VAM News correspondent by presenting the cash prizes to the recipients of the scholarship that was awarded few weeks ago.
The event which took place at the Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University was an epoch making event, delivering their promises to the 5 indigent students.
YAPJEN is an initiative founded by Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu ( The Peoples Advocate), on the premise of advocating for mind re-oreintation and attitudinal change among Nigerian youths.
Reinvigorating the faith and hope of the Nigerian youth in the Nigerian Dream and Nigerian project.
Some other things to know about YAPJEN. They campaign against:
Human Right abuses
violence against women and children.
Corruption in public institution
Domestic violence
They also advocate for:
A corrupt free and disciplined society.
Respect for human rights and dignity.
Probity and accountability in public service.
Rule of law
The United Nations SDGs of poverty alleviation, peace keeping and all inclusive justice interventions remains their utmost point of interest.
VAM confirmed that the group have been committed in meeting the needs of the society, providing justice for all and creating an environment for Peaceful coexistence amongst Nigerians.
