School teacher kills himself in Kano

The Kano State police command has confirmed the death of one Mr Femi Oguntumi, a teaching staff of Karish College, Kano.

The teacher was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room at about 10 pm on Thursday.

Police Spokesman, DSP Haruna Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident, said Femi’s corpse ha been deposited at the Murtala Muhammad Hospital.

He said the Police has commenced an investigation into the actual reason Oguntumi committed suicide.

Daily posts reports that the deceased did not leave any suicide note as to what on why he committed suicide.

The police commissioner has ordered investigation into what made oguntumi into committing suicide.
