REVEALED! Why Most Almajiris don't pray- VAM News

Following numerous researches from institutes to  personal writers on the Almajiri system  and 'begging culture', there arose matters that encouraged many to get involved either in support of the system, against or reformation to meet religious modernity.

A random sample used, gathered that many younger Almajiris don't observe the daily prayers mandatory to all muslims due to hectic begging in homes and mostly on the streets.

In VAM News interview with Kamalu, (aged 12) born in Kura local Government of Kano State, but sent to Potiskum for Almajiri education, Kamalu has this to say:

VAM: Why don't you pray? Aren't you students of the Qur'an?

Kamalu: we do, but not now, we do.

Through the interviews, we discovered they now value the begging than the proposed reason, Quranic education.

In the same Potiskum local government, Yobe State about 95% of the younger Almajiris don't perform prayers except the sunset prayers at the "tsangaya" (the schools). The older ones (Gardawa) have no priority, rather than forcing the younger ones to bring them food in whatever case; through which ever means, instead of the proposed religious mentorship, together with the Quranic recitation.

The clothes they put on is dirty enough to stop them from praying which they intentionally made in order to capture people's mercy. They put on no shoes too.

In the not too distant past, when Africa was not littered by the ruins of imperialistic boom and dust western civilization. The north of Nigeria viewed it's indigenous Almajiri school with esteem reverence and refer to it on almost every aspect that calls for intellectual discourse.the Almajiri tsangaya resolves all sociocultural and sociopolitical taboos,it is where all indigenous consciences emanates.

Back then, the almajiri tsangaya abodes northern dereliction, mothered innumerable kids and nurtured young minds into prominent scholars.

But the overnight passage of time and death of dogmatism - for dogma is no more, draws a battle line between the Almajiri system and this Past and furious life.we have arrived at a time when what was once considered a remedy is now a cause of an illness.the world is no longer what it was and the system has failed to keep up with the pace at which the world is evolving, thus becoming obsolete and talents consuming wrecking havoc on humanity.

It's quite pathetic and irksome, how children whose talents if put to better utility might one day make lethal differences in societies are exiled into the nocks of streets, begging to obtain what to eat just to put a momentary pause at the growlings of their stomachs.

The system has turned a child abuse in camouflage, your child sleeps on the street in a cold winter season.
For these children, days are dark, hope is lost and times grow ever weaker.they are prone to brainwashing and recruitment for terrorism, thuggery, drug trafficking, robbery and other heinous crimes.

For decades now,the northern cyberspace has been devoured by perceptible but abstract disturbing discourses aimed at castigating the system, hitherto in vain.
We can't dwell on expectations that government should resolve our problems.how do you expect a government that can't manage it's own schools to take care of the Almajiri system ?,it's a menace we created ourselves,so we should resolve it ourselves.

Almajiri practice as recorded by some researchers like Fafunwa 1998, Dahiru 2016 and Adeoji diverted from Quranic (Islamic) scholarship to children breeding centers.

This is a challenge to the pro-Almajiri groups and researchers who ought to yield more findings.

Now the Questions goes to you.:
Whats the problem?
What's the way forward?
Who do you think is responsible for the religious challenges?.
