Free Tuition fee policy: Imo students warn Imo house of assembly
The national leadership of the apex umbrella students body of all Imo state students; the national Union of Imo state students (NUISS) has expressed worries over rumours that the house of assembly members were been poached to reverse the "FREE EDUCATION POLICY" which has enhanced the free tuition fee for Students in Imo state university, Imo state polytechnic, state owned primary, secondary schools and other state owned institutions in Imo state.
NUISS logoSpeaking with VAM news, the national president of NUISS; Comr.Amadi Emmanuel said the worries and panic in the studentdom over this matter is becoming too challenging and that Imo state students are using this opportunity to ask the Imo state house assembly to desist from any plan to scuttle the FREE TUITION FEE PROGRAM otherwise known as free education im Imo state.
The national president of NUISS while congratulating the newly sworn in Governor of the state; Emeka Ihedioha, urged the state Governor not to tamper with the FREE TUITION FEE POLICY been enjoyed by Imo state students.
Comr.Amadi said that following the constitution of NUISS, the state governor is the Grand patron of the union and must give a listening ears to the yearnings of the students.
Taking opinions from students of different institutions, it has been gathered that Imo students have collectively posed in readiness to resist any attempt to repeal the FREE EDUCATION POLICY by visiting house of assembly members in their various homes to ask questions.
