High Court issues Austin Jay Jay Okocha an arrest warrant
An High court sitting in Igbosere, Lagos State has again issued a bench warrant for the arrest of former Bolton Wanderers football club of England Midfielder and former Super Eagles Skipper, Augustine Okoroocha popularly known as Austin Jay- Jay Okocha over alleged tax evasion.
Jay Jay OkochaDelivering the judgment, Justice Akintoye of Lagos State High court made the order following Okocha’s alleged failure to settle a 2017 income tax evasion case brought against him by the Lagos State Government in a reports obtained by VAM news.
Justice Akintoye first made the order on January 29, following an application by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice in which the ministry told the court that Okocha had failed to appear in court since 2017 when the case was filed against him.
