AAC candidate, Governor Wike battle for Rivers gov. seat as final collation resumes

With some of the major issues relating to the controversial governorship election in Rivers state resolved, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) resumed collation of the results of the exercise on Tuesday, April 2.

The ruling PDP in Rivers won the governorship election in the Port Harcourt local government.

In Ikwerre local government area, the home of Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, Wike recorded a major victory against the candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC).
