Super Eagles 1994 set get special award in 2018 Aiteo/NFF Awards tomorrow
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Aiteo have concluded plans for the second edition of the NFF/AITEO Football Award ceremony slated to hold tomorrow at Eko Hotels and Suits, Lagos gathered by VAM News.
The event which is schedule to roll off by 6:30 pm would honour specially the class of 1994 set of the Super Eagles for their ‘All Time’ standing performance at the FIFA World Cup in the United States of America.
Highlighting the program of event at the weekend at Eko Hotels and Suites Victoria Island Lagos, the first Vice President of NFF, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi who is the organizing committee chairman of the Award ceremony assured of a bumper packaging of the ceremony having taken a cue from the first edition.
He said this year’s edition would be lot better that the previous edition. He said the event would begin with a Red carpet by 6:30 pm and run till 7:15pm while the doors close by 7:20pm for the business of the day.
“We are expecting dignitaries from across Nigeria and the world. The Secretary General of FIFA will be here to receive an award. Also, the outgoing and incoming governors of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode and Babajide Sanwolu will also receive awards,” he said Continuing he said, “We are going to have Timi Dakolo, Kaffi, D’ Banji and others on the band stand to entertain the audience.
And as well we will use the occasion to showcase Nigeria to the world, we are going to have about 20 presidents of the Football Federations in Africa in attendance”, adding that, “the synergy between the NFF and Aiteo has been very exciting. We thank Aiteo for the support and opportunity so far enjoyed under their sponsorship of the award. Without them it would have been impossible to do this.”
The General Manager, Finance, Aiteo, Taye Eyewoma pledged his company’s continued support for the growth of football in the country, “AITEO is committed to the sponsorship of the award. We are happy that the partnership is receiving the attention it deserves and we will continue to support the NFF in line with the agreement.
“We are happy with what the NFF is doing. We are happy when the country is happy and that is why we will try in our own little way to bring joy to the country,” said Eyewoma.
