President Buhari to open Enugu Intl trade fair next month
The organisers of the Enugu International Trade Fare are expecting that President Muhammadu Buhari will declare open the fair in April, 2018.
The team which visited the Vanguard Newspaper yesterday, said that plans have been concluded to have the President attend the fair in person. The President of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ECCIMA, Mr. Emeka Udeze, said that the event with the theme: “Promoting and Enhancing Value Addition in the Oil and Non-Oil Sectors of the Economy for Robust Economic Growth and Development”, which is in its 30th edition, will start on Friday, 5th April and run through to Monday, 15th April, 2019 at the International Trade Fair Complex, Golf Course, G.R.A, Enugu.

Speaking through the Vice President, Dr. Emma Nwankpa, he stated: “We are expecting that the Fair would be declared open by the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Chamber has made appreciable progress to ensure that the Fair is successful held to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. “Let me emphasis here that even though we are passing through election and democratic transition in the country, yet we need to be upbeat about our economic affairs because the economy remains the centre piece of our survival, growth and development. “The 30th Enugu International Trade Fair would therefore provide the cleavages to gauge the economic outlook of our nation, the attendant associated risks and opportunities that would be inclined to the business environment/landscape to make informed business and investment decisions. “We are very hopeful that the 30th Enugu International Trade Fair would be a success, despite attendant challenges in the economic environment. Indeed, a number of strategies have been put in place by the Chamber towards ensuring that all Stakeholders realize meaningful outcome from participation in this Fair including a number of side attractions that would interest the Public.
“We are particularly happy that we have been receiving streams of enquires and interest from corporate organizations and institutions declaring interest to participate in the 30th Enugu International Trade Fair.” Vanguard.
