Amidst the controversies that were trailing upcoming governorship election in Zamfara, initially, one would think APC stand no chance to contest in the coming election, but thank God for our viable democratic system, the appeal court ruled that APC be restored to the ballot. And this means justice for the people as the incoming governor of the state, Mukhtar Shehu Idris, MSI as is fondly called is a man of the masses, most qualified for the position, most suitable person to steer the affairs of the state, and most fittest to seat in the Zamfara Government House to continue with the good legacy laid by the current governor, his excellency Gov.

Mukhtar Shehu Idris, a native of Tundun Wada, Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara state was born on 4th April 1974, he’s a proud husband, and father to beautiful children.

He attended Federal Government College, Sokoto in 1992, holds a B.Sc. Economics from the prestigious Bayero University Kano, set of 1997.

Mukhtar has 4 masters degrees which include; M.Sc., Banking, and Finance from Bayero University Kano (class of 2000), Masters Of Arts in international affairs and diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (class of 2003).

Alhaji Mukhtar, a lover of quality education, further went for Masters in Development Studies, Bayero University, Kano Nigeria (2005) and another Msc In Treasury Management from Bayero University, Kano in 2014.

Mukhtar is the current commissioner for finance in Zamfara State.

This excellent academic strives achieved by Alhaji Mukhtar has further confirmed that he is the most suitable candidate to move Zamfara State forward.
