STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT HAS REJECTS LATE REGISTRATION FEES

Evidently, it is never in the idea of the oppressor to free the oppressed from oppression.

Today, the 21st December, 2018, It came to the notice of the students Union Body of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree that the management of the institution has callously introduced the sum of #5,000 as late registration fees for the students who until moment are yet to make payments of school fees.

In a critical moment like this, we feel compelled to register that we the Students Union Body has condemn, disagree and reject a development as such which is apparently designed to exploit us at the expense of making severe the anguish of the average Ospoly student.

We have in the past engaged all stakeholders within the institution and at the state level to ensure reduction in the fees introduced in the 2017/2018 academic session which obviously did not favour the sons and daughters whose parents are victims of non salary payment and economic nosedive, a class which dominates larger percentage of the Students population.

It is with great diligence that we the Students Union Body write to convey our position to the Ospoly Community that we are far from been a weakling and we stoop from been an underdog and at this point in time, we have been pushed to the wall, crushed on our wound, much that the sleeping wolves in us has been awaken, all of which is the function of this inhumane development.

Therefore, we wants to on this note demand the reversal of this fees before January 2nd, 2018, we wants to believe that the management will not test our resolve to storm the entire campus community and cease the peace which has been reigned for quite sometimes come January, as we will not be hesitant to evoke our Aluta spirit, gather all Aluta mercenaries, Aluta antiquities and our Aluta arsenals on full-scale onslaught to combat against this fee introduced which is disastrous and appalling at this current state.
