NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF KWARA STATE STUDENTS (NAKSS) TO MEET BOARD TODAY, AS GOVERNMENT, SCHOLARSHIP BOARD IN "WAR OF WORD"

_We have credited the scholarship board - Government.

_Kwara Government is lying, we have not receive  the 50million - Scholarship board.

Sequel to the recent press statement released by the Association on the release of 50 million naira by the scholarship board for bursary, the leadership of the Association wish to notify the general students populace that the scholarship board has denied receiving any fund from the state government.

The state government and the scholarship board have been in a "war of word" over the release of the money, with the state government claiming that they have released the money to scholarship board and scholarship board denying the claim.

We have however fixed a meeting with the scholarship board today, Thursday, 15th 2018, at Ministry of Education Complex, Opposite High Court, where they will address the entire student populace (including the press) publicly on the situation of things.

As the Association leadership can no longer hold pressure from thousands of anticipating student any longer and we have urge   them all to come out en mass to hear the scholarship board Chairperson speaks on what is causing delay of the disbursement process.

We must also at this junction state that the Association is no longer comfortable with the scholarship board and hereby passing a vote of no confidence on them.

"The scholarship board should also be ready to account for every dime of the fifty million naira as the Association will strictly monitor the disbursement process."

However, we plead with every students interested in coming to be peaceful and "call on the state government and scholarship board to be straightforward or else the outcome may be beyond control.
