Minimum Wage: Reason Federal Government should consider new proposed minimum wage #30,000 to #66,500- National President of Youthocracy Movement of Nigeria

The reason why Federal government should consider new proposed minimum wage #30,000 to #66,500 by National president of Youthocracy Movement of Nigeria Comr Amb Ogunolu Samsideen Opeyemi.

We support NLC to go on strike over disagreement on the minimum wage because in the world today Nigeria is the country that is paying #18,000 and there is increment of petrol price which is unaffordable to some workers is too high which is totally inconvenient for Nigeria workers.

Youthocracy Movement of Nigeria insist on the quick resolution between federal government and Nigeria Labour Congress to sincerely come to conclusion that will favour entire Nigerians,How can a country like this paying #18,000 and every price of consumables are too exorbitant is seriously unfair,if our government are there because of the masses to solve some problems that Nigerians are facing should not be politicized,it should be controlled and regularized yearly by listening to where people are complaining and finding a concrete solution to it for us to be relieved.

In Ghana,Togo,South Africa and other familiar countries they see their workers as important and treat them honourably but in Nigeria we see workers as slaves and we treat them as slaves which is absolutely bad and shows our government are heartless.

Let critically and sensibly check the below countries with their minimum wages and see where Nigeria government got it wrong.

1. Nigeria - $38 (N18,000).
2. Algeria - $175 (N83,000).
3. Belgium - $1,738 (N810,000).
4. Cameroun - 36, 270CFA ($75) N38,000.
5. Chad - $120 (N60,000).
6. Denmark - $1,820 (N900,000).
7. Libya - $430 (N190,000).
8. Japan - $1000 (N450,000).
9. Cote D'ivoire -36,607CFA $72.
10. New Zealand -$3,187 (N1.4m).
11. Luxemburg - $2,500 (N1.1m).
12. Spain - $760. (N300,000).
13. Switzerland - $5,620 - N2.5m.
14. USA - $11 per hour.

With the above wages it shows Nigeria government didn't value Nigeria workers and there must be solution to this unjustifiable and injudicious acts by the government.
We call on National president Nigeria Labour Congress Comr Ayuba wabba to ensure his starting point to fight for increment of minimum wage should yield positively and successfully.

Youthocracy Movement of Nigeria call on President Muhammed Buhari to find lasting solution to the issue of minimum wage for Nigeria workers to live averagely OK if it is not extremely poor life.
President Muhammed Buhari should know that 18,000 minimum wage can not buy one bag of rice and semo vital talkless of paying school fee most especially higher institutions in Nigeria today is too expensive both federal and states institutions and with this there is now how most people that are receiving less salary can coup.
Also Minister of labour and employment Chris Ngige should corporate with NLC leaders to reason together on the way forward to avoid failure in this issue of minimum wage.
I pray to God for his positive intervention in this issue of minimum wage which is the most factor that is affecting us in this country.

God bless Nigeria.
