17TH ONLINE PRESENTATION AND DIALOGUE OF TODAY'S LEADER FORUM (2018) FOCUS ON: MOMENT LIKE THIS, SITUATION LIKE THIS, IN A COUNTRY LIKE THIS ON "FEMALES IN POLITICS: GENDER BALANCE AND EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY"- IMRAN NAHEEMAT OLATOUN

Good evening distinguished ladies, gentlemen and leaders of today on this platform.

A special greeting to the convener TLF platform and moderator tonight for the intellectual and educative presentations so far.

I am so honoured to be given a topic in the platform to present tonight and which the topic  NAHEEMAT would be addressing is FEMALES IN POLITICS: GENDER BALANCE AND EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY and the presentation starts from now in the platform as a female has been given a chance to present.

Politics is derived from a Greek word, 'politika or polis' meaning affairs of the cities. Politics the process of making decisions that apply to members of a group. It refers to achieving and exercising positions of governance - organized control over a human community, particularly a state. Politics is a multifaceted word. it is also the art of science of government.

Why women in politics?
Women's participation in Politics helps advance gender equality and affects both the rage policy. While achieving gender equality and empowering girls and women, it is the goal and effective participations that performs their services in an open and inclusive work environment making public service delivery. Governance is to delivering gender equality result and powerful skills while that of government commitment gives clear and effective mechanism.

Throughout the history of the discipline, there had not been a generally accepted definition because of it multifaceted word. The theorists and practitioners have offered multiple which I would be defining some below based on some of the political scholars.

In effective service delivery, it need to be based on political realities and needs capacities of differences to promote gender equality and empowering women has ONE indicator for.

Note: women are agents of change while men are agents of making the change a reality.

* In respective of what GENDER should not be an hindrance to our advancement and progress.
* gender should not be a chance or medium of nurturing disprogress and discrimination. We have been blind folded and heart blocked to be gender discriminative and bai's which has now been used as a NEGATIVE TOOL TO weigh us down politically which has affected our progress in the society.
*  In our country we have never advocated the use of gender equality to move the country forward progressively and positively because we are usually gender bai's. So let put a stop to gender discrimination, gender selfishness, stinginess and greediness.

Let us stop the belief of she/they are female, she/they can do little or can do nothing and he/we/they (males) can do better, we all can do it because we all have the charisma, potentials and ability but this can only be achieved or done powerful well if we see ourselves as one and if we can carry ourselves along and support one another in respective of the gender in other to get better and well done in the society.

Females should stop the believe of I want the position, post or titles at all cost while males  should stop stop seeing the political demand of the women as an opportunity to satisfy their SEXUAL desire, interest and enjoyment and thought that it would add to their tittle among friends and colleagues which I know if it of the same gender such demand wouldn't not be requested for, if only the person is a GAY OR LESBIAN which is UNLAWFUL in the society of ours (NIGERIA).
Let us all accept our gender differences with one love, unity, peace, patience, tolerance and accept the abilities and charisma of one another in respective of our gender because as I was thought theoretical and practically trained as a political scientist and social analyst, I IMRAN NAHEEMAT observed that no one is useless in politics and which I believe leaders on this platform can testify to it.
Although, our areas of outstanding differs e.g like we have different areas/ sections and types of politics ( theory, practical, educational and comparative politics) to mention few, some are good in the theoretical aspect while some are in the practical aspect like mobilization, campaign, contesting, strategic plans and politics comparison.

Gender should not be a problem or barrier in having a good representative, presentation and good governance. "IT SHOULDN'T BE" while males should stop saying females can't do it and females should stop the belief and saying of *what a man can do a woman can do better* because I have discovered that this words IRRITATES both genders and which can lead to gender misbehaviour.

The charisma, abilities and manifesto should be able to tell us who can do it after our analysis and  that is why COMPARATIVE POLITICS should be used not gender  consideration or discrimination.
Comparative politics is another segment which I wouldn't be able to venture into this night because it is another subsection of politics on it own and very wide.

Let there be sincerity,love,unity,respect, equality and capital 'NO'  to gender discrimination in other to have a gender balance and effective service delivery which these can only be achieved, come into practice or success when a STOP to what is called 'high wire politics' and we should learn how to carry everyone along side by side in respective of the gender because of what is called "integrated approach " in political science and which means the making whole from part, so with this there should be integrated approach to females in politics and gender balance in other not to have a effective service delivery but an effective political service delivery to promote and move the family, schools, communities, states, nations, countries, environment (physically, socially and politically) and the society at large a better place to live, interact and progress positively.

IN CONCLUSION:
Ladies and gentlemen, comrades, leaders of tomorrow which tomorrow start now and today, let the effective political service delivery start from us we youths of today especially the STUDENT UNION OFFICIALS, NANS EXECUTIVES AND NIGERIA COMRADES at large begin the say no to gender discrimination and females in politics, gender balance in effective political service delivery because what we put in practice in school is known as PARAS POLITICS and which will later be practice in the outer society.

Initiate smile to all genders and you  will be happy that you gave a face a smile because iBelieve that the effective political service delivery lies in our hand.

Tommorow holds alot for us, one love keep us together as we encourage females in politics, effective service delivery.
