GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM THE LEADERSHIP OF OODUA YOUTH PARLIAMENT (OYP) ON THIS YEAR INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY, 2018 TAGGED "SAFE SPACES FOR YOUTHS."

Oodua Youth Parliament (OYP) which have been known for it's Active and Pragmatic Decision in making and encouraging the Youths. 

As an ever Conscious and Sagacious Youths who plans ahead for the Future needs safe spaces where we can come together, engage in activities related to our diverse needs and interests, participate in concern decision making processes and freely express themselves.

Expressing oneself in a Decency Manner is not just about getting involved in things that can tarnish the image of oneself of make up to destroy the dignity and integrity of the youth.

While there are many numerous of spaces, safe spaces ensure the dignity and safety of Youths. Safe Spaces such as Civic Spaces enable Youths to engage in governance issues; the engagement of Youths in Governance is to give them a great chance and opportunity to be able to serve there power. Public spaces afford youth the opportunity to participate in sports and other leisure activities in the community; digital spaces help youth interact virtually across borders with everyone; and well planned physical spaces can help accommodate the needs of diverse youth especially those vulnerable to marginalization or violence.

OODUA YOUTH PARLIAMENT (OYP) is condemning every action of the politicians in using the Nigerian Youths as there major weapon in tackling co and opponent parties in the forthcoming 2019 election.

Youths in Nigeria needs a self worth and respect in changing the life of someone with low Mental Health, in which Mental health is not just about mental illness, but about not doing the the right thing, youth that destroys, kills and do lot of unpleasant things are losing values , respect and Self worth.

In conclusion, in making and having a safe spaces for youth our self worth, respect, dignity, value and integrity as a youth must not be lose out.

Let the safe spaces for Youths continue to be a standard and affordable one.
