HANDOVER SPEECH BY HIS COMRADIO, COMRADE, ICON OLORUNGBOTEMI TUNDE BRIGHT PKA ONE VOICE, OUT-GOING PRESIDENT TO THE PEOPLE OF THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ADO-EKITI, PRESS CLUB AT THE OCCASION OF HANDOVER UPON COMPLETION OF TENURE

2ND FEBRUARY, 2018.

My dear people of the citadel of learning at the Federal polytechnic Ado-Ekiti
It is with immense gratitude to God Almighty that I address you today, may be for the last time in the capacity of Press President of our dear great institution.
As you are aware, my tenure as the number one citizen of the school News Agency comes to a close on January, 2018. And in compliance with the provisions of the school’s constitution I am required by law to handover the machinery of Press to another person who will occupy the seat of the press president.
Following the outcome of the last press management election, Comrade Okanrende Akinkunmi aka Oko Rektor who was declared winner by the Press Electoral Committee (PEC) is the one who shall be taking over from me.
Once again, I congratulate him and his co-Executives, Sir Anointing, Opomulero 2, Calculus, Bamidele &Oluwole over their victory at the polls and wish them a successful tenure of office.

For me, it has been a very interesting time working with all segments of the FedpolyAdo Nigerian students to provide leadership acumen and information at its peak to our dear citadel of learning.
Since January, 2017 when I assumed office up to this moment, it has been a period of studentship-learning about the capacities, talents and dispositions with Nigerian students. It was also an opportunity to offer leadership in both peaceful times but also crisis period. In the course of offering leadership, we enjoyed the times, we also experienced frustrations and encountered a number of challenges that time will not permit me to recount here.

In all I found FedpolyAdo people to be of immense faith in the future of the school, a people with unquestionable commitment to equity, fairness and justice, all of which constitute basic ingredients of the right of studentship.
It is in the process of attaining these values or the pursuit of these principles that sometimes portray the Fedpolites as being uncompromising, and sometimes being vengeful.
Whatever the experiences we had in the course of providing leadership this one session/year, the time has come for us to leave.

As written in the scriptures in the book of Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.” There was time to assume office and now is time to handover.
I am handing over the reins of the press with a great sense of fulfillment based on our modest accomplishments...

Surely, we did not take FedpolyAdo news arena to the enviable and lofty heights we desired and worked rigorously to attain. But certainly, we have laid a solid foundation for the growth of our dear institution across the nation which I believe the succeeding administration will leverage on.
A tree doesn't make a forest, an appreciation goes to my co- executives, PC RIDWAN, HOMOIYAMI, OKO REKTOR, ETC...
