More Trouble for Cristiano Ronaldo As Juventus Risk Being Thrown Out Of Serie A

Juventus have been told they can no longer participate in the Serie A if they refuse to withdraw from the European Super League project.

The Old Lady are among the 12 founding teams planning to break away from the current UEFA Champions League system and form their own competition.

However, with everything not going as planned, nine-member clubs have already denounced their involvement but Juve still have a strong feeling towards the association.

And this has led the Italian football federation (FIGC) president Gabriele Gravina to threaten the Turin-based club that they will be thrown out of the league if they don't follow the footsteps of the Milan clubs pretty soon.

He told Naples radio station Kiss Kiss and reported by Sky Sports.

"The rules are clear. If Juventus is still part of the Super League when it enters next season, it can't participate in Serie A."

Meanwhile, Andrea Pirlo's men are still struggling to qualify for Champions League next season having dropped to the fifth position on the table after their 3-0 defeat to AC Milan on Sunday, May 8.

This is coming the same season they failed to win their 10th consecutive Serie A titles with Inter Milan denying them the opportunity this campaign.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus claim they don't appreciate threats they get to abandon the European Super League project and vowed to "persevere" with the idea despite its considerable rejection.

The three lingering clubs of the original 12 issued a joint statement on the weekend defending their basis for the ESL's creation and expressed "regret" at seeing the other nine - including the Premier League's so-called 'Big Six' - recommit to UEFA on Friday.
