Trouble hits Stamford bridge as 2 Chelsea players 'attack' each other after EPL disappointing defeat

Chelsea stars Antonio Rudiger and Kepa Arrizabalaga were said to have light up Stamford Bridge negatively after having an altercation during their training session over the weekend.

The ugly incident took place at the Cobhams training complex on Sunday, April 4, barely one day after the Blues were hammered 5-2 by West Bromwich Albion.

Thomas Tuchel's men were not at their best during the clash, with Thiago Silva being sent off at the half-hour mark for a second booking.

The red card sparked a capitulation in Chelsea's camp as the visitors took full advantage of their numerical deficiency to hammer them.

The defeat, which was their first under Thomas Tuchel is now said to have escalated to the dressing room, with Rudiger and Kepa being at the centre stage.

Both players were left on the bench against The Hawthorns but were part of the team that took part in training on Sunday.

Metro UK citing The Telegraph reports a heated argument between the pair was sparked after Kepa took an exception to Rudiger's late challenge during a small-sided game.

The incident is said to have resulted in a pushing match and an ugly bust-up between them.

It is understood Tuchel reacted immediately to the conflict by dismissing Rudiger for an early shower as the defender was not calm enough to complete the session.

According to further reports, Rudiger is said to have apologised for his actions unprompted, and the manager is now happy the matter is resolved.

It is believed this was the second row in Chelsea's camp after Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James were reportedly involved in 'a frank exchange of views' after the Blues' defeat.

The duo is thought to have made up moments later, and there is no ill-feeling between them.

The two incidents come just days ahead of Chelsea's crucial Champions League quarter-finals meeting with FC Porto.

Tuchel's men are scheduled to take on the Portuguese giants in the first leg of the last-eight fixture on Wednesday, April 7.
