The Federal And State Government Non-Challant Attitude Towards The Civil Servant

For a long time, the Federal Government of Nigeria and the State Government are not treating the Civil Servant the way they suppose to be treated. There are some states that are owing the Civil Servants and there are some that are paying them half salaries.

There are quite some instances in which some states government retrench Civil Servants without any cogent reason or even thinking about the effect that the retrenchment will have on the retrenched workers.

Example is Kaduna state workers that the Governor El-rufai retrenched without given any monuments will that have been an asset for their family will now become a liability not just for the family but for the society at large.

Also, there are some states that are owing the Civil Servants several months of unpaid salaries while some are paying half salaries.

The pensioners issue too is there. A person that have used almost all the productive part of his life in serving the government. Then, when they are have been retired. The time that they are helpless due to old age that they cannot work again. The time that they suppose to be enjoying their pension grant. The government will be delaying it. They will make them go through a hell before giving them their benefit.

This is a very big issue that the Nigerian government need to rectify. Enough! The suffering afflicting on the Nigeria Civil Servants is enough.
