Ondo Murder: Two Security Guards Killed In Akure

Two security guards who were employed to protect a filling station have been killed by armed robbers in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.

VAM News learnt that the two are security men at a popular filling station on Ondo road Akure, were shot dead by unknown armed robbers in the night.

It was gathered that the duo guarding newly established A.A.Rano filling station located at Customs junction of Ondo road Akure were reportedly killed inside the place in the night when they robbed the station.

Reacting to the sad development, a supervisor in the station, Mr Buhari Ashiru said the victims were found at about 5.30am on Sunday when staff resumed duty.

Ashiru said the robbers failed in their effort to break into the safe in one of the offices

He said the corpses have been taken away by the Police.

Confirming the killings, the police public relations officer in the state, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro said investigation has commenced into the incident.
