NSCDC, Police Beef Up Security Ahead Easter Celebration In Osun
The Commissioner of Police, Osun State, CP Olawale Olokode, psc wishes to inform the general public that the state Police Command has emplaced adequate security to ensure that this year’s eat steer season is celebrated peacefully without fear of insecurity.
The essence of this announcement is to re-assure the good people of the State about the readiness and level of preparedness of the Osun Police Command to guarantee adequate and watertight security during this period and beyond at all religious centres, social gatherings and leisure parks.
Criminals are also put on notice that the Police will not condone any person or group of people suspected to be planning criminal acts as anyone found in this act will be dealt with according to the law.
The Osun State Police Command further appeals to the public to always give prompt, credible and useful information in order to prevent acts of lawlessness and all infractions of the law.

Finally, the CP urges the Christian faithful to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols as they celebrate the Easter.

NSCDC PROMISES WATER-TIGHT SECURITY AT EASTER
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command has deployed personnel to all communities across the State, so as to fortify the security architecture during the forthcoming Easter celebrations.
In a release issued by the Civil Defence Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent Adigun Daniel on behalf of the State Commandant Abdulkadir Sulu, parents and guardians are advised to warn their children and wards to avoid actions and conduct that could breach the relative peace being enjoyed in the State.
The Civil Defence PRO disclosed that State Command has deployed more than a thousand personnel across the State, to protect critical national assets and infrastructure and be on look-out for those who might want to exploit the festive season to commit crimes.
He therefore appealed to every law abiding individual to go about their legal activities without any fear, adding that the State Command is ready to deal decisively with any miscreants or groups who might want to disrupt the peace and create unnecessary tension in the State.
Similarly, the State Commandant appealed to the travelling public to be watchful of the type of vehicles they board, and to ensure that the details of such vehicles are communicated to their relations.
Residents of the State are encouraged to report suspicious persons or activities they notice to the nearest offices of security agencies across the State.
Vandals of Criitical National Assets and Infrastructure should steer clear especially those involved in illegal connection to the National grid.
Commandant Sulu felicitates with the Christian Community and prays that the lessons learnt from the season will be used to strengthen and consolidate National Unity for the progress of our dear nation, Nigeria.
