Fallen Heroes: Tears as Nigerian Army Reveals, Names, Photos of 12 Soldiers Killed by Militia Group

According to the Foundation for Investigative Journalism, listed among the deceased soldiers are one warrant officer, two sergeants, three corporals, one lance corporal, and four privates.

The Nigerian Army stated that the troops were killed on Tuesday, April 6, in the Konshisha local government area of Benue.

VAM News gathered that the soldiers have been buried at the cemetery at Wurukum in Makurdi.

Meanwhile, the Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, has condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari and the chief of army staff over the death of the 12 military personnel.

The governor promised to collaborate with security agencies to ensure that perpetrators of the act were brought to book.
