Wealth and Poverty are Both Vanities Because None of Them Can Save You - Reno Omokri
A Nigerian author and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, is back with his famous nuggets and this time, it is about money.
According to him, the phrase that talks about money's inability to buy happiness was created by rich people to keep poor people from threatening their wealth.
Reno Omokri explained that both wealth and poverty were all vanities and it was simply a matter of picking one's vanity.
He stated that wealth was the vanity he chose as money is very conducive to happiness.
In his words: "When a rich man dies and leaves his wealth some people say ‘vanity upon vanity’, as if wealth is a sin. It is not only wealth that is vanity. Poverty is also vanity.
They are both vain because none of them can save you. But I prefer a wealth vanity.
The phrase ‘money can’t buy happiness’ was invented by happy rich people to prevent the poor from threatening their wealth! Are you not happy when you get a bank alert? Was it poverty that made that possible? Money is very, very, very, conducive to happiness!"
A couple of months ago, Omorki known for sharing his opinions on social issues spoke about money in marriage.
In a post which he shared on Twitter, the author is of the opinion that marriages held together by love are strong while the ones held by money are very weak.
Speaking further, he noted that money cannot buy love and it certainly does not mean that poverty can buy it either.
