Man City record 21 consecutive win following victory over Wolves in the Premier League clash

Manchester City continued the remarkable run of form in the Premier League following a 4-1 win over Wolves in a week 27 match played at the Etihad.

An own goal from Leander Dendoncke as well as a Gabriel Jesus' brace and another from Riyad Mahrez was enough to give City their consecutive 21st win of the season.

It was a one-way traffic for City in the first half as they dominated and created decent chances on goal.

Wolves conceded a goal in the 15th minute after a cross from Riyad Maherz's cross meant for Raheem Sterling was steered into the net by Dendoncke.

Rui Patricio was kept busy all through the half as he managed to keep his side in a reasonable gap behind the league leaders.

The Portuguese shot-stopper was also called into action on a number of occasions as he made world class saves from Kevin De Bruyne, Sterling and Mahrez in the second period.

Wolves got their equalizer from an unlikely source after Joao Moutinho's cross was headed home by Coady who scored his first-ever Premier League goal a minute after the hour mark.

City fought their way back into the lead as Jesus was at the right place to score from close range after Wolves failed to clear their lines properly.

Mahrez deservedly got his goal in the 90th minute to make it 3-1 and Jesus finished off the game in the 93rd from a spilled shot from Patricio to end the game at 4-1.

Pep Guardiola's side have now established a 15-point lead at the top of the Premier League table as they welcome Man United to the Etihad next.
