Akungba Ghastly Accident: NANS President Expresses Sadness, Vows To Fight For Dead Students

The Revolutionary President, National Association of Nigerian Students, Comrade Sunday Asefon has described as unfortunate and rude shock the death of scores of students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko who were killed by a reckless driver of a dangote truck.

In a statement made available to VAM News correspondent, the NANS President decried the rate at which many students across the country have suffered similar fate in the hand of reckless drivers, particularly, drivers of dangote trucks. Declaring that the Apex Students body will no longer condone such incidents.

According to him; "In the days ahead, when specifics are very clear, NANS under my leadership will take up the issue, fight for our dead students and ensure that we do everything possible to reduce the risk of these killer trucks around our students and campuses"

"We can't allow this to continue unabated, something urgent must be done". He said.
