Hunters Storm #EndSARS Protest ground in Osun state capital
The Hunters Group of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter, has stormed the #EndSARS protest ground in Osogbo, the state capital on Tuesday to partner with protesters and to shun hoodlums that may hijack the demonstrations.
Armed with guns and other weapons, the hunters stormed the protest ground at Olaiya area of Osogbo around 1:20pm and declared their loyalty to the struggle.
In the report, the members were Adorned in their uniform and led by their leader, Nureni Adisa, who was wearing a protective armour dotted with charms, the protesters vowed to quell any incursion of hoodlums into the protest.
Adisa, while addressing the protesters, said their presence at the protest scenes and around Osogbo is to ensure civility, orderliness and security of lives and property of the people of the capital city.
He condemned in totality last weekend’s attack on the state governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola and his aides by suspected hoodlums including looting of Osun Mall.
He further stressed that he is ready to provide hunters to support the protesters during the day and at night.
Reacting, one of the convener, Olawale Bakare, popularly known as Mandate appreciated the hunters for expressing their support for them.
He maintained that they will continue to be peaceful and conduct themselves in the best manner as protest continues.
