NANS stakeholder calls on IGP, DSS to stop Bamidele Danielson Akpan from marking union' 40th anniversary before convention

A former President of the National Association of Polytechnic Students, NAPS, Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan( Last Don), has urged the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed and the leadership of the Directorate State Security, DSS to compel Comrade Bamidele Danelson Akpan led NANS to call for a national convention of the body.
Mohammed Sani Hassan, from Bauchi State who is also a member of NANS North East stakeholders forum said Bamidele has over stayed in office which is contrary to the constitution of the Association.
He said the recently constituted convention planing commitee of the body should be disbanded because more then ninety five percent of the committee members are not students of any institutions in Nigeria or diaspora.
He said there was also no female representation in the committee.
Mohammed Sani urged the Presidency, the Federal ministry of Education and the security agencies to call the NANS leadership to order to prevent rancor .
"There is an ongoing plan between Bamidele and the convention planing committee to shift the convention to next year for his own selfish interest"he said
He said a proposed programme NANS at 40, he should not be allowed to hold because it is mainly aimed at achieving selfish motives.
"State Governors, Senator and members of the House of representatives are advised to shun the programmme since the tenure of Danelson has since expired.
"All NGO's and Government agencies should not in any way attend to him because he is not protecting the interest of Nigerian students but his own interest, they have turned NANS to their personal property and that is not healthy for the organization and the reputation of the Nigerian students."
"The various stake holders of NANS should keep their personal interest and work for the interest of the organization before its too late.
