Edo Decides 2020: Obaseki leads Ize-Iyamu with 79,326 votes from 16 LGAs(Live Update here)

According to report, the election said there were issues of violence, vote buying, ballot box snatching and malfunctioning of card readers in some local government areas.
A total of 14 parties took part in the election but the results so far show a two-horse race between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (APC).
Elections were held in all the 18 local government areas of Edo.
Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in a comfortable lead after winning eleven of the 16 Local Governments announced so far by INEC
The PDP, according to the results announced so far, has 281,851 votes to lead the APC who has 202,525 votes.
The result shows Obaseki of the PDP leading with 79,326 votes as we await the last 2 LGAs.

The election, according to newsmen, had massive turnout of voters in Oredo, Egor, Akoko Edo, Esan Central, Esan North West, Ikpoba Okha, Esako East and Esako West local government areas of the state.
Obaseki won his polling unit in Oredo Ward 4 with 184 votes, while his main challenger, Ize-Iyamu, scored 62 votes.
At his polling unit, Orhionwom Ward 5, unit 26, Ize-Iyamu polled 292, while Obaseki got 21 votes.
The deputy governor of the state, Philip Shaibu of the PDP won his ward 11, Unit 3 Etsako West Local Government with 789, APC polled 164 votes.
