Man arrested wilth 80 pieces of Army uniforms

Christian Obi, a 42-year-old man, on Friday, appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for illegal possession of 80 pieces of army camouflage uniforms.

However, Mr Christian Obi pleaded not guilty when the charges were brought before him.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Doney Raphel, told the court that the defendant, Mr Obi, committed the offence on July 5, on Olojo Drive, Ojo.

According to the prosecutor, the defendant, upon arrest, failed to give a reasonable answer as to why he was in possession of 80 army camouflage.

This prosecutor said that the offence contravenes Section 330(d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs O.G. Oghre, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties each in like sum, after which she adjourned the case until August 24 for mention.
