12 More Deaths, Fresh 454 COVID-19 Cases Recorded In Nigeria in 24 hours

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Friday night, has announced 454 new COVID-19 infections as the total confirmed cases rose to 27,564.
The NCDC on its official twitter handle, said with new update, Nigeria fatalities increased from 616 to 628. while the figure of patients recovered and discharged increased from 10801 to 11,069 persons.
There was a drop in the number of infections 464 reported on Friday compared to the number 626 reported on Thursday.
The new cases were recorded across 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos continues to be the most impacted state, NCDC in it reports said,
Lagos reported 87 of the new cases,
Edo had 63 cases,
FCT reported 60 cases and
Ondo confirmed 41 cases.
Other states with new cases include:
Benue-32,
Abia-31,
Ogun-29,
Oyo-19,
Kaduna-17,
Delta-16,
Enugu-15,
Borno-14,
Plateau-9,
Nasarawa-8,
Kano-5,
Bauchi-4,
Gombe-2,
Katsina-1
And Kogi-1.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 144,833 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.
On the 3rd of July 2020, 454 new confirmed cases and 12 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
Till date, 27,564 cases have been confirmed, 11,069 cases have been discharged and 628 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
