Nasarawa State Governor appoints IGP's younger brother as new SSG

The immediate younger brother of the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu, Barrister Muhammed Aliyu has been appointed as the new Nasarawa State Secretary to the State Government (SSG).




The Media Assistant to the Governor of Nasarawa State Yakubu Lamai announced the appointment Wednesday evening


The statement said the appointment takes immediate effect.

Aliyu obtained his first degree in 1986 from University of Maiduguri and a Bachelor of Law degree in 1997 from the University of Jos apart from attending numerous courses and seminars.


The new SSG started his working carreer with the Bank of the north as a clerical officer before moving to Plateau State Ministry of Education.


He later served as executive chairman of Lafia local government between 1999-2002.
