MAPOLY loses final year student











A final year student of the department of Mass Communication, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Titilayo Ajayi reportedly died on Saturday, after a brief illness.











Press Club Mapoly gathered that late Titilayo took ill sometimes last month in Abeokuta and later went home to her family in Lagos when the sickness was getting worse.











Although the nature of her death is yet to be ascertained, her death came as a rude shock to many.

Speaking with PCM, a close friend of the deceased, Anna Owolabi said ” She was sick and after several attempts to fight it alone in Abeokuta, she later traveled back to her family in Lagos, on the 25th of May.

“We tried to check on her, although she said she was getting better as at 29th of May, until her number was not going through anymore early the month of June, before she was announced dead by her family.

“Titilayo Ajayi was a God fearing and hardworking lady who is always ready to help, most especially in terms of making a betterment future.This is a great loss to her family, she will be missed by us all”.

Tributes has since continue to pour in for the late Titilayo from friends and coursemate who described her as a great loss to the entire HND2 Mass Communication students.











Some of the tributes reads ” It’s hard to believe you won’t graduate with us,return if possible Titilayo.”

“My dear friend and coursemate you left the entire department of Mass Communication students wondering why you have to leave so soon after the completion of your National Diploma.











” I remembered how we all returned with smiles on our faces including you for the second phase of our search for knowledge.

” I also remembered we were all together before the COVID-19 pandemic which we have to return to our various homes to be with our families now you have gone so far and would never be resuming with us.

“We wrote exams and you never got to see your results and now you went into the cold hands of death just in your final year.”

“Titilayo was very gentle and down to earth , she would met and greet you with her wonderful smile, May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
