In a bid to make education cut across all fields, the Senate Committee on Army, on Tuesday, considered a bill for the establishment of Nigerian Army University, at Biu local government area of Borno State (NAUB).

The bill, which was presented by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, according to the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sagir Musa, was held in order to weigh the option of creating the university that was earlier signed by the President.

Buratai praised the committee members for their unwavering support towards ensuring the creation of the institution, which would address the critical need for education in different specialized fields.
