Again, 12-year-old girl in Ajah, Lagos was reportedly raped by four masked men in her home on Thursday, VOICEAIRMEDIA has obtained.









According to a family member, anonymous claimed the pupil was not only raped but also brutalised.


“She has gone for medication and necessary treatment has been done. We have also informed the police about the matter,” the source disclosed.


“She was at home having her online class when the sad occurrence took place. It is a bad experience for her.”









Recall that Recall Barakat Bello, a 22-year-old student of Institute of Agriculture, Research and Training, Ibadan, was on Monday evening attacked and killed while in her parents’ house in the Akinyele area of Ibadan.


Further report gathered that the 12-year-old girl had bruises and tear in her virgina which led to massive bleeding.









While reacting, the Lagos police spokesperson, Bala Elkana, has confirmed the attack and switched into action to investigate the unwanted crime.


“It was a sad incident. She was in the house with her father. When it was time for her to start her online class as COVID-19 mandated, the father discovered that there was no fuel in the generator. So, he said let him quickly go get fuel”









“Immediately he left, the rapists jumped into the fence to carry out the attack, they covered their face during this period so, she could not identity them.


“As a matter of fact, the state commissioner of police has asked the gender unit of the force to investigate the matter. Like we’ve achieved before now, we will apprehend them and make sure they face the rot of law,” the police boss said.

Meanwhile, the leading Presidential candidate of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Com. Sunday Asefon has met with the acting Provost and the management team of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology Ibadan, Oyo State where Baraka was undertaking the National Diploma programme in Science Laboratory Technology to sympathize with them.

The team however request from the  management of the college to consider the approval to place Barakat immediate younger brother Azeez Bello on full paid scholarship as a form of compensation for the family of the deceased student.









The management of the institution through the acting provost also promised to support the family in this trying time.

The team thereafter prayed with the family and demanded justice for the victim as comrade Sunday Asefon reechoed 'No to Rape'.
