OPINION: Fayemi A Quintessential Leader - Asefon

Governor Fayemi of Ekiti State

The leading presidential candidate of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Sunday Asefon has described the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi as a quintessential and faithful leader for his prompt response and proactive nature in combating the Coronavirus pandemic in Ekiti state.









He hailed the leadership of Governor Fayemi in curtailing the spread of the pandemic in the state as well as the support of the state’s Covid-19 Response Resource Mobilisation Committee.


The people of Ekiti state are not living in fear because of the proactiveness of the state governor.


Recently, the purchase of molecular laboratory situated in the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti was announced by the Commissioner for Health and Human Services Dr Mojisola Yaya-Kolade .









It was learnt that the laboratory would be useful in testing for some other viral diseases like Lassa fever even after the COVID19 pandemic.


He described the renovation of the isolation center of Oba Adejugbe general hospital Ado Ekiti as world class standard because of the new equipments purchased and the face lift done on the building.









Comrade Asefon also praised the stability in the security framework of the state which prevents incursion of people from other states into Ekiti state.


He however urged other state governors to emulate Fayemi in the provision of palliatives for vulnerable people in their states.
