JUST IN: Bandits kill one, injure three in Katsina

Bandits numbering over 200 on Friday night stormed six villages in Batsari LGA of Katsina State attacked  and rustled cattle, leaving one dead and three others injured.

The spokesman of the Katsina State Police Command.SP Gambo Isa, who confirmed the attacks, however denied that eight villages were involved

He listed the affected villages as: Yandaka, Salihawar Duba, 6Garin Goje, watangadiya and Dutse maizane villages of Batsari LGA of Katsina state.

He said: ”They shot and Killed one Alaramma Kabiru Kano, aged 57yrs at Garin Goje village.

“Three others were injured at Dutse Maizane. Unspecified number of cows and sheep were rustled.

”The bandits laid ambush for the joint forces of military and police which led to heavy exchange of fire.”
