"Keep Faith, Nigeria Will Triumph Over This Trying Time", SYMBOL OF NEW NANS Leader charges Nigerian Students At Easter
By One Class
The hope of Nigerian students under the platform of the Symbol of new NANS, presidential hopeful, ASEFON SUNDAY, says Nigeria will Rise again.
It gives me joy to wish all the good people of Nigeria especially from my constituency (Nigerian Students at home and Diaspora) happy Easter celebration.
I agree that this year's Easter is completely different from what we have become familiar with over the years due to the ravaging effects of Coronaviorus pandemic.
Thiá¹£̣̣ call was made by the Leading Presidential candidate of the National association of Nigerian students (NANS), Comrade Asefon Sunday during his Easter Day address.
Asefon noted that although the myriad of challenges facing Nigerians in the various states of the federation are manifest, the people should take solace in the hope that the nation will rise above it just as Jesus Christ rose again at Easter which is now being celebrated annually and the Holy Bible tells us to always give thanks to God in all things.
Nigerian students have been asked not to despair at the face of the enormous challenges facing the country, particularly the threat posed by the ravaging deadly virus, he said.
It is important to underscore the essence of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that we are celebrating this day. I want to appeal to the good people of my constituency (Nigerian Students) to continue to show empathy and love to one another in the spirit of Easter.
I am aware that the partial lockdown in some states and sit-at-home order of federal Government have undoubtedly put serious strains on the sources of livelihoods of a good number of our students. It is for this reason that I have taken it upon myself to call and appreciate all high profile Nigerians, political office holders, and others, included myself, who have contributed to the people's live in kind and in cash in a form of relief materials at this period.
I also want to emphasize that my commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of Nigerian students remain a matter of utmost priority to me.
I will also like to emphasize that coronavirus is real and already in Nigeria. We must stick to the prescribed hygienic practices of hand washing with soap, use of hand sanitizer and social distancing to avoid community spread of coronavirus. I also want to implore our people to resist the temptation of socializing during this period of Easter celebration so as to avoid getting infected.
Prevention they say is cheap and far better than cure.
Happy Easter celebration To All Nigerian Students.
