Abass Obesere, Nigeria’s veteran singer, has released a new song which appears to be a warning message for ‘Coronavirus’, Voiceairmedia reports.

The musician, who is renowned for his hit ‘Egungun be Careful’ single, had earlier stated that he would be touring Dubai, Kenya, Turkey and the UK in April, despite the COVID-19 crisis.

Ahead of the tour, Obesere took to his Twitter to release a less than four-minute visual in which he seemed to be threatening the novel coronavirus with what he hinted as the terror that awaited it in Nigeria.

“Ask your brother, your brother Ebola. It’s Nigeria that killed it. If you come to Nigeria, a vehicle will hit you. Issue some warning to corona,” the lyrics to his song read in part.

Nigeria currently has 42 confirmed coronavirus cases with one death recorded so far. This is just as the global COVID-19 death toll has exceeded 15,000.

The global showbiz scene has also been critically hit in a development evidenced by the cinema shutdowns, concert postponements, stalling of creative releases, among other changes that caused box office earnings to witness a dip.
