No fewer than 5000 Job seekers in the state of Osun on Thursday morning stormed the state Secretariat to hustle for 2,500 teachers, VAM News reports.

VAM News recalled that state government of Osun had through newspaper publications and announcements via the electronic media called for suitably qualified candidates to apply online through osun.csm.ng after the purchase of a log in pin from the ministry of education.



The sales of log in pins for the recruitment of the new teachers as announced by the Osun State Government commences today.



Over 5,000 applicants stormed the ministry of education, state Secretariat, Abere in a bid to get the log in pin to access the forms via the internet.


A visit to the ministry of education at the state Secretariat as early as 8am by saw applicants in their thousands already on ground getting ready to start purchasing the log in pins.


Being the first day of the sales of the pin, it was shocking that over 5,000 applicants could have made it to the Secretariat as early as 8am.


One of the applicants, who identified herself as Mrs Idowu Olalekan said she got overwhelmed by the huge number of the applicants she met on ground even before 8am.


She said despite the fact that she got to the premises of the ministry of education even before 8:00 o’clock in the morning she was surprised to meet hundreds of applicants who had come earlier before her.



She frowned at the high rate of unemployment in the country, while appreciating the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for deciding to recruit teachers and take teeming youths out of the labour market.
