Breaking: Nigeria records first Coronavirus death
The first #COVID19 death has been recorded in Nigeria, VAM News reports.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the case was a 67-year-old male who returned following a medical procedure in UK
He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma and diabetes and was undergoing chemotherapy.
The former Managing Director of PPMC, Suleiman Achimugu has died overnight over Coronavirus. He is the first casualty in Nigeria.
He returned from the United Kingdom two weeks ago, started exhibiting symptoms on Tuesday, the family reported to NCDC.
He died at 2am this morning.
His family are currently under quarantine in their house, the NDCD will handle the burial. Details shortly…
